To Glitter or Not To Glitter?
Art Institute Glitter's sophisticated glitter adds not only sparkle but also beauty and brilliant color to any object. Be assured that to add glitter is the right answer! Add texture and rich color to any project.
Art Institute Glitter Artist Debrey Taylor created this project, featured in "Paperworks Magazine," using Barbara's Butterfly preprinted on coated paper. The artist colored the butterfly with art markers, cut and mounted it on a decorative paper background. She then mounted the butterfly on heavy matte board and trimmed it with gold leaf.
Debrey made two mounted butterflies exactly the same and then enhanced one with our Ultrafine Art Glitter and our Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. She placed small dots of adhesive on the decorative paper background and then added glitter colors that complimented the design. She ironed on each layer of paper, causing a little glue to leak out the sides of the papers. This process caught the stray glitter, creating a tiny, subtle glitter line around each layer.
