Lisa Carroll: Silhouette Birthday Card

I do LOVE black glitter (my favorite) and it's so striking on cards. Sorry, this photo does not do it justice.

On this card, I used all Stampin' Up! products, except for the sentiment, which is by Endless Creations. I masked off the rectangle area and lightly sponged Bordering Blue Classic ink. With the same ink, I stamped the flora image in several generations to get that dimensional look. I then removed the mask and stamped the sentiment and main image with Basic Black ink. I used the Sakura Quickie Glue Pen again, and randomly dotted areas of the main image, followed by a dusting of the Black Ultrafine Opaque Art Glitter and shook off the excess.

This card is special because it doesn't require a lot of card stock layers, stamps, or inks to achieve a that elegant, sophisticated look. The technique and the glitter do it all with very little effort or cost.
